Camps are for children 5 -12 years old.

A minimum of four children are required to hold the class.

Class Objective: Teach kids basic space science concepts and how astronauts eat in space through interactive experiments and edible activities. Each day will introduce a new space food to try.

Day 1: Blast Off! – Rockets and Space Travel

Lesson: What is Space? How do rockets work, and what do astronauts experience during launch?

Day 2: Life in Space – Living on the ISS (International Space Station)

Lesson: Explaining Microgravity and the International Space Station (ISS)

Science Activity:

Simulate microgravity with simple balance and coordination games
How astronauts sleep, eat, and stay healthy in space

Cooking Activity:

DIY Dehydrated Space Snacks
Lunch: Space Ram Soup made with Ramen Noodles

Day 3: Stars, Planets & The Solar System

Lesson: The solar system and energy from the sun

Science Activity:

Build mini solar ovens with foil, plastic wrap, and pizza boxes

Cooking Activity:

Solar Oven S'mores
Lunch: Homemade Mini Pizza Planets

Day 4: Craters, Comets & Cosmic Chemistry

Lesson: Crater formation, comets, and chemistry in space

What are craters and comets made of? What do they tell us?

Science Activity:

Make craters in flour with marbles (simulate meteor impacts)

Cooking Activity:

Edible Moon Rocks - (crunchy clusters made with cereal, marshmallows, and edible glitter
Lunch: Homemade Moon Bread with pasta, marinara sauce, and Olive Oil Dip

Day 5: Astronaut Training & Mission to the Moon

Lesson: Preparing for space flight and learning about the moon

How many days will it take to reach the moon? Can people live there?
